Richard Cobden Gallery

We've started a gallery of high resolution images of Richard Cobden, the 19th Century businessman turned MP who successfully campaigned for free trade in Britain and was instumental in the founding of The Economist.

For a man whose work was so important and prominent in the 19th Century, the fact that he is largely forgotten today needs to be rectified. We are therefore running a project to increase awareness of Cobden. This is just the start.
