Richard Cobden Fellow 2005
By Alex Singleton | 24 June 2005
We are pleased to announce that Anthony Batty will be joining us over the summer as our Richard Cobden Fellow. The fellowship is named after the 19th Cenutry campaigner for free trade who successfully caused the repeal of the Corn Laws.
Anthony will be working on a new publication which will be released in the autumn. He is currently studying economics at the University of York.
He was selected as the Richard Cobden Fellow after showing considerable promise as a free-market thinker, and has been involved with several major think tanks. He spent part of last summer studying with the Ludwig von Mises Institute in the United States.
Students wishing to apply to be the 2006 Richard Cobden Fellow should apply by e-mail before the end of February 2006 with their CV, 250 words of their favourite movies and books, and a covering letter.
